Security, Moderation, and Ethics

It is important for companies to have robust security measures in place and to carefully consider the type of content that is published. As AI technology becomes increasingly integrated into our daily lives, ensuring ethical practices and maintaining security and moderation is critical.

This page will cover:

Publishing Hour One Videos

Hour One videos can be shared using a variety of methods, including via a share link (URL), embedding the video, or downloading it for offline use and distribution. These videos can be published on any social media platform or website, or used in emails or other forms of communication. To learn more, check out our Creating & Publishing article.

Privacy

At Hour One, we take the privacy of our users’ custom characters and assets very seriously. To ensure privacy, we have implemented several strict measures:

  • Complete separation of projects and templates between clients: No one can access your templates, databases, characters, logos, or projects within the platform.
  • Your content is only available within your organization.
  • We do not alter any of your company's data. We store a copy on our servers to keep your information secure at all times.
  • Your data is stored in separate buckets to prevent access by outside parties.
  • We use strong authentication methods to guarantee the privacy of your user account.

Content Moderation

Hour One has automatic and manual procedures in place to detect scripts that may be overtly sexual, criminal, explicit language, or with an intent to promote violence, bullying, or harm. Our commitment is to ensure that our technology is used for positive purposes only. Our terms of service also prohibit the use of profanity.

Repeated violations of this rule may result in the temporary or permanent suspension of your account. For information about account suspensions or to make an appeal, please refer to our policy on account blocks here.

Mobile Pocket Capture App Moderation

Hour One employs rigorous moderation practices to ensure that mobile app captures meet our ethical standards. In particular, the following types of captures are prohibited:

nudity or sexual content, harassment or hate speech, depictions of suicide or self-harm, images of dangerous or illegal activities, violent or graphic content, exploitation of minors, spam, and fraudulent content.

Please note that any captures that violate these guidelines will be immediately blocked, and you’ll be required to submit a new image to create your character. Repeated violations may result in the suspension or termination of the user's account.

Security

Hour One’s security level is IS02700. Our servers and data are hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in a private network with no public access. Completed videos are hosted on our servers and are publicly available. Please note that if you choose to download the video rather than host it on the website, the video will become private.

Single Sign-On (SSO) is available for all Enterprise accounts.

Ethics

Hour One is guided by the principles of transparency, authorized use, and prioritizing the needs of humans first. It is recommended to disclose the content created within Reals is computer generated when posting on social accounts or within the Hour One video. One way to do this is by adding a small disclaimer under your company's logo and then uploading that image to our logo asset. To learn more about these principles and how we apply them in our work, please visit the Ethics Page on our main website.

If you have any additional questions about our security and moderation practices, please do not hesitate to contact us for more information.
